Hello everyone! :) This is only my 100th time joining back on on MFP. I sign up and do it for a bit then thin kit is not working an quit. Only to come back. I have never really introduced myself before so I thought I should really give this a try and be all in this time.

My name is Stephanie (42 years old) and I live south of Charlotte, NC. I am happily married to my sweet husband for over 22 years. We were not blessed to have children, so instead we have cats. I am a Project Manager at a small drywall construction company. I used to work over 55-60 hours a week, but started to set boundaries on that, so I can focus on my health.

So my health, I am a severe asthmatic and allergic to everything that grows outside (I know that is sad), who is currently overweight. I have all of the proper tools to lose weight but still don't. I bought an elliptical machine for me to use during the lock downs, and love to use it. Just sometimes have issues finding motivation to do so. I have an apple watch and for 1 week closed all my rings, I was so proud of myself, but then I had trouble with my asthma, and have not closed them for about 4 days counting today. I know losing weight will be very good for my asthma and my joints. But I still struggle with actually following through with it. I give up on myself too easily or I kill my calorie intake with snacks at the end of the day.

I am looking for ideas on how to achieve this goal, so please share any great tips or ideas with me.

    Hi, Stephanie. Welcome back!

Maybe try something different this time? Reading the boards was super super helpful for me, getting involved even more so. Seeing constant tips, diet (and general body) myths busted was so helpful, the success stories page kept me hyped.

Maybe it was immersion in the boards, but I found it super motivating and helpful. I wasn’t alone. There is a whole community pulling for each other here.
