Does anyone know of a meal planning app that you can integrate with MyFitnessPal?
If not, what about a user friendly standalone solution?

The NHS (the National Health Service for the UK) has an app called: Easy Meals. It's completely free.

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but you could take a look at this site:
https://www.eatthismuch.com/
Basic functions are free (for sure enough to let you know what it does). It lets you pick a dietary style, number of calories per day, desired number of meals/snacks daily, then recommends a balanced menu, including recipes.
Truth in advertising: I don't use it, because I don't love structure. Instead, I did this, because I wanna eat what I wanna eat 😆, just at the right calorie level, with decent nutrition:

I've test-driven the eatthismuch site to see what it does, and it looks pretty nice, for a person who wants more structure than I prefer.1
