I am new to MFP and i notice a lot of MFP goers use a certain terminology. things like "BUMP" or "WOOT WOOT" what do these things mean?

    :bigsmile: Bump is just moving a post to the top of the forums so that it is not forgotten.

    I think the Woot woot is just a cheer for doing a good job much like it would be in sports or something.

    bump - that is just a way of 'bumping' a certain thread up so that it doesn't disappear into unknown territory. So other people can continue to read it...especially newer members.

    Woot - well its a saying, say it out loud with a big smile on your face and "woot woot" :happy:

    Don't worry - there are so many terms I didn't get. The only ones I can think of now are:
    dh - dear husband
    dd - dear daughter, etc.
