Hi all. I’ve lost 70 lbs, mostly just counting calories but the last few months I’ve been on keto. I now want to move to maintenance, and off Keto (back to just calorie counting. So, I know some water weight gain seems to be inevitable if I do this? If I integrate carbs very slowly, what can I expect? 5lbs? 10lbs? Assuming I am eating at maintenance level if calories, all the weight gain would just be water, correct? No fat gain?
It’s just hard seeing the scale go up, bc I know it will make me question if I’m eating the correct amount of calories. I take body measurements as well, but feel like water retention would make those go up slightly as well, at least my waist. Just worried.
