Hi there,
I know that some foods are measured by their precooked weight (pasta, for example) and, I am guessing some are after cooking? In any case, I'm grilling up some steaks tonight and I want to know if I log the precooked weight or weigh after cooking.
Thanks so much!

Nutritional information is typically for most things is typically for raw/uncooked unless otherwise specified...like bacon for example will say XX calories for Y slices pan fried or some such thing.
You can do it either way though...just make sure the entry you are choosing from the database reflects what you're actually doing...ie if you're weighing your steak cooked, choose an entry that says "cooked" or grilled or whatever. But yes...the vast majority of nutrition information is for raw/uncooked/dry.1 -
Thanks!0
