Slow cooker ham in cider

Any ideas how you add calories for ham cooked in cider (ir any other mean cooked in high cal luquid) .. liquid will all be drained off after cooking!

    I would NOT make any attempt at figuring calories for the cider. It will be inconsequential and impossible to calculate. Most prepared meats have a small amount of guessing involved.

    Yep, this is how I approach it too. If I'm going to consume the liquid after cooking, I count it, but if I'm not, I don't.

    I would presume some of the cider is 'absorbed' by the ham. That being said, if you drain off the liquid after cooking, some of that will be cooking juices from the ham as well (reducing calories from the ham, especially if there was fat on the ham).

    If I were in your shoes, I'd log the ham entirely and a small 'symbolic' amount of cider on top of that. Those types of dishes will never be 100% precise, but it should be close enough :smile:

    Same as Lietchi. I made shrimp scampi Saturday and had over some spaghetti squash while the rest of the family had it with pasta & alfredo sauce. I logged 1/8 of the butter, olive oil, wine used in making the scampi but it was a pure guess and more of an effort to log SOMETHING as I could not really dissect it accurately...
