I try to be on or near my recommended calorie consumption for the week. This allows me to eat more on some days, and make up the overage by cutting back on calories or exercising more through the rest of the week. It is much easier to see on the app than it is on the website, so I recommend you download the app to your smartphone or tablet.0

So umm...I will download the app..but in order to loose weight..we have to be under the allotted weekly calorie goal? So that means I can eat whatever Ive been given for the week..as long as I dont surpass it??0 -

If you've filled out the "goals" section with accurate information about you, then the calorie goal you received is what you should eat to lose weight. You want to NET as close to that number as possible, which means that if you exercise, you should eat at least some of those exercise calories back.0 -

I see.
See, the reason I asked this is because Ive been given a 8k number as my weekly calorie goal. I see it on the phone app. So now I was wondering if instead I can use that 8k (weekly) and divide that through the week..the way I want it.
Hope Im not making it sound confusing.0 -

You can go day by day, too, if that works better for you. So long as your calories are colored green when you close your diary for the day, you will lose weight.
As an added note, many people go over on their protein. Don't worry about it if you do. Protein is healthy and it is ok to go over. Well, unless you suffer from gout or other renal problems. Then you need to find out from your doctor how much protein is too much.0 -
I just saw your new post about 8000 kcal for the week. That is about 1200 calories (net) a day. So be sure to add in your exercises and to eat back the calories you burn from exercise. This will keep you from feeling too hungry.0
