Aging lady seeks self control.

I’m a 5’1” 70 year old and my weight had crept up from 134 to 152 in 8 years. I’ve joined a support group and use My Fitness Pal to log my 1250 calorie daily diet. By adding exercise 5-6 days a week, I’m losing weight! I don’t struggle with hunger because I eat protein and low calorie vegetables at each meal. I’m very satisfied with My Fitness Pal program!

I am 62 and I completely understand what you are going through. It's amazing what you are accomplishing! I have used MFP before with great success and excited to be using it again. You are more than welcomed to add me as a friend. I know it helps to have a support group.

You probably do not need much self-control. Your average calorie surplus to gain 18 pounds in 8 years is less than 25 calories a day. This means you were never making big mistakes. You were eating an extra bite or two you didn't need or having a little too much cream in your coffee.
