Just say you want to focus on MFP for a few months to give it a good go. (Doing anything for just a week is what yoyoers enjoy.)

How many different maple syrup diets are there-good lawd! I have an friend who does the same, I say we are all different and what works for me might not work for you, and then be catty and say "So how much did you actually keep off on your last fad diet?" - no don't do that, that is mean. ( I am mean in the morning! )

LOL. There is a woman in my Sunday School class who is CONSTANTLY talking to me about Arbonne products. Oh, they are so healthy, so vegan, non-gmo, etc. She'll lecture me about clean eating for hours (if you let her). Meanwhile, she's at least 100 pounds overweight. I can only return a blank stare at her and bite my tongue. Man, though, just once, I want to make the point that if her lifestyle is so "clean" and Arbonne is so great, why is she still so overweight? She's been losing the same 50 pounds over and over again. Urgh... And then she wonders why nobody invites her anywhere...

I know EXACTLY what you mean. My sister is sorta like that. She is single, barely 30, and has had no kids. She is also bigger than I am. She is the queen of fads. I have been working with a trainer for 8 months, and he doesn't believe in chemical supplements, and just gets what he needs from the food he eats. My sister is all about the pre-workout, the post workout...crossfit, zumba, wearing those thermal belts that make you sweat off water weight around your belly. Any time she finds something new, she tells me about it, and it is the most awesome thing EVER.

I've gotten to the point where I tell her ( and pretty much anyone else) that my body does not like supplements. Anything workout related, I will run by one of my trusted trainers ( who happen to have like 10% body fat) before I decide if it is something I want to do.
