Its not the counting that helps me so much the logging of what I eat. It helps me catch patterns because I have health issues. Blogging how my day went and how I felt helps me spot foods that trigger anxiety, mood swings, and yes tummy trouble. I was limiting what i ate at first but last eek I started eating as though I am already at maintenance level. If realized some of the things i was avoiding i will not avoid for the next 40 years so i better learn to incorporate them into my diet now or i will regain everything back once i do reach goal and ease off my counting. I have been getting better at eating first and then logging and still being under goal. Exercise is the main key...as long as i am staying active i think I'll be okay. Everyone has to do it their own way and there is no right or wrong. Good luck to all.

Congrats. Yea, logging is really helping me realize how much under-eating I was doing and the opposite affect it was having on me. By eating my daily allowance and my excercise calories back, the weight is dropping. I'm very encouraged.0
