Postpartum Fitness/weightloss

My fourth little boy was born about two and a half months ago and previously I've always been decently close to my starting weight within this amount of time with 3-5 stubborn pounds that took longer to lose. This time I'm a good 15-18 lbs. over my pre-pregnancy weight. I've been watching Greg Doucette and Will Tennyson on YouTube (calories in, calories out!) so I decided to aim for a pound a week in weight loss and expected that was a low enough goal to happen pretty naturally for me. No luck. Weird. Apparently you can't just write down a goal and have it magically fulfilled! So I downloaded My Fitness Pal a couple days ago to track calories. Maybe it's just the novelty but it's going great so far. My worst temptation is snacking while my kids nap but seeing how many calories I "have left" and knowing I have to fit in dinner has helped me shift my indulgence to fruit or something low-calorie. At home workouts are where it's at right now with four kids. I would be trying to run but it's hard to bring 4 kids under 5 along for that so I started skipping rope in the living room. Summer plans include lots of walks and hikes, tossing a football around, and baby cuddles.
