A group of us plan on going stand up paddle boarding while on vacation in a couple weeks. I am 5'7" and weigh 225. Can I do it? I don't want to get to the site then find out I'm too heavy. I've looked online and from what I can tell is you have to have a bigger board if you're bigger but I don't know if most rental places would accommodate that. We'll be in the Outer Banks. Don't know yet where we'll rent from so I can't call. If anyone has done it is it way harder to do if you're big?

<--- I'm currently 195 and had no problems at all this weekend. They had big and little boards, but they weren't that different. I think I ended up on a regular sized board.0

Thanks. I'm going to try it! I was worried that I would look ridiculous because of my weight but I have to get over that. Worrying about how I'll look doing things and what other people think is what made my weight increase in the first place.0
