new to fitness

hello everyone! i've been wondering if i should feel soreness after a workout the next day? i searched it up and it said it was fine, but is it common? also when your working out and feeling the burn should i keep pushing myself or wait a few seconds then continue?

    Yes - very common. You are experiencing DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness. Hydrate and light movement or gentle exercise to aid in recovery. Rest is important especially as you're beginning. You probably don't want to workout back to back days. Are you following a guided exercise plan or making it up as you go along?

    If you are new to fitness, I'd recommend any workout where you feel the burn and may need to stop is too intense for you right now.

    You need to get some base fitness in, get your tendons, ligaments, muscles, cardiovascular system all used to working harder.

    Pushing to a really hard level that requires pauses isn't going to do that nicely.
