Hi there. I've been using MFP for a little over three years now. I lost a lot of weight, 100+ with this app. However over the last 5 months i've gained back more than 25lbs, and no matter what I try to do, the scale keeps creeping up. MFP says to get back to my goal weight, I should be at 1400 calories. I have not gone over that in more than 60 days, but I am 7lbs more now than I was in May. I exercise consistently, including a mix of strength training and cardio, and weigh my foods as accurately as possible. I'm not sure what i am doing wrong, or how to fix it. On top of that, i feel betrayed by my body which is creating a feeling that i need to punish which results in me eating less and exercising more. Has anyone else had similar experiences? How do you combat them?

If you've been weighing EVERYTHING and you're sure you're using accurate database entries for your food, have you been to the doctor to rule out anything medical going on? If not, consider making an appointment.

As for the feelings of betrayal, etc, you may want to explore that with a professional as well - you may not meet the clinical criteria for a disorder, but the ideas you've expressed are disordered, if that makes sense.
