Bodybuilding With Loose Skin

Just curious if anyone has gotten into competing postpartum or after a huge weight loss and has dealt with loose skin. I’ve had two babies and though the loose skin isn’t too drastic, I was wondering if it’s something that will be less noticeable as I get leaner?

I’m currently 131 lbs, 5”2, and I’d probably need to drop about 15-20 lbs in order to be stage lean.

Any experiences would be great!

It can take up to 2 years or more for skin to retract and that's not even guaranteed it totally does. If your skin is loose now, it's NOT going to tighten up to be stage lean since even a 16 week prep wouldn't be long enough for the skin to noticeably retract.

With a goal of 15-20lbs to get stage lean AND loose skin... why are we discussing 16 weeks?

Absent loose skin issues, would I be incorrect in assuming that 20lb 16 week drops are generally followed by a regain to start levels within 8-12 weeks?

16 weeks is the average time for a person to prep for stepping on stage for any body competition.

No. Once a competition is over, most will start regain in one day due to traditional consumption of foods they kept out of their diets. I gained 10lbs in one day after a competition and in the next week another 12lbs. Your body is so deprived of water, salt and glycogen when you step on stage versus when you're just staying in shape.
