Progress part 1

I am writing this so I can look back and see my progress. When I started my journey for better health in October of 2020 I figured I would end up like I always do...failing. However, this time was different. I had developed some health issues that needed to be addressed, as did my husband. So together we decided it was time to take charge of our health. We began paying close attention to what we were eating and how much. Wow! We were not eating well at all. We started reading labels, cooking healthier foods, began cutting out sugars, etc. Once we kind of got in to better habits I came back to MFP to keep myself accountable for what I was putting in my body. I also have now incorporated walking in to my daily routine. At first I could only walk 5-10 minutes before I was give out but now I am walking 2-3 miles per day and I feel so much better since I started getting more active. It has been a learning experience but the payoff has been great. We both still have a ways to go but by looking at my side by side from October to now has been a great encouragement to keep on keeping on. For those of you who are in the same battle of trying to get healthy and lose weight....YOU CAN DO IT...keep the faith and know that there will be days you may lose the battle but as long and you get back after it the next day you will eventually reap the benefits. Keep on Keeping on! In the picture below I was at the heaviest I have ever been at 225 and today I am at 203.
