I need to do something

I am back. I did MFP quite a while ago and gave up because, honestly, I dislike logging. Started other plans, realized logging is a necessary thing if I really want to lose the weight. So, I decided to come back to the resource with about the best logging there is. I’m also working on getting back to my former activity level. I had some major knee issues and my exercise tanked while I was getting that resolved. Restarting is just hard. I’m a teacher, so off for the summer, which means I have more time for whatever, but also can mean I can do a LOT of procrastinating. It’s all good though. I’ll get there. Good luck, everyone. Here’s to this summer being the best yet.

Hi deb4nyer, I feel your pain. It is a bit of a chore logging food every day but it will get easier around the second/third week if you - like me - tend to eat more or less the same stuff. I alternate between 3 or 4 types of breakfast and now I know how many calories each is - so even if you forget to log right away - you have an idea in your head of how many cals you have eaten.
Well done for restarting and remember that small changes add up very quickly. Don't try to be perfect, stick to what you can do and then build up. It worked for me. And be kind to yourself if you go off track

It's not what I read but perhaps that's really what you meant 😉

From someone who formerly described themselves as a procrastinator, I wanna thank you, Deb, for being patient with our "babies." Especially during the pandemic.

    Welcome back to MFP 👋🏿
