I want to drop these pounds and keep them off as I am at high risk of diabetes and plus being slim is more attractive than my previously medium-slightly overweight build.
I started at 185 lbs in December and burnt off 25 lbs of that during the next couple of months and since about April have flatlined at 155-160 pounds. I must thank my new employer for helping me burn off those initial 25 lbs because they keep me active and exercising. Another key element to burning that fat off was quitting ice cream and reducing my sweets and sugar consumptions.
Since then I continuously improve my diet and truthfully I spend the majority of my free time focusing on my diet and physical health. Low calorie healthy food is a rarity so now my new hobby is creating meals that help me reach my goals.
I started on salads and with difficulty quit eating candy bars (most of the time). Then came the long battle against eating bread and although I seemed to win this one I still eat bagels occasionally. My sugar consumption nearly gone now, I turned to Erythritol and Stevia and sugar-free chocolates to replace my candy addiction. Recently I started on reducing my salts because I soon noticed how much sodium I was eating and it was far past the recommendations.
I got plenty of ways to go in order to reach my ideal and am also considering training to play baseball to keep fit and meet some athletes that could help in the support to stay fit. Sports can be fun when they dont pay your bills so if that works out I should be on the path to my personal happiness and that starts with my body.
