That depends on a range of factors, including your age, current weight, level of activity, exercise etc.
I would suggest you go through MFP's guided setup to see what is recommended for your situation based on the above data as well as how quickly or slowly you want to lose.2 -
Yes. Or no. Based on what you've told us.1

Lots of people will lose weight on 1,400 calories a day. Some will lose too rapidly, while others will lose at a more moderate pace.
There are people who will not lose any weight on 1,400 calories a day and an even smaller group that will actually gain on 1,400 calories a day.
Given what you've shared here, it's impossible for us to tell which of these groups you will fall into.1 -
If 1400 is lower than your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), then yes, very likely you would lose weight. We have no idea what your TDEE is though so no idea if 1400 calories is at it, below it, or above it....0

Please read the stickies on this Getting Started topic, so you can understand about diet and fat loss.
That question means you need to get some good info, you'll find much there.3 -
Unfortunately, OP logged in one day in July and hasn’t been back.
So the answer is “probably not”1
