Hello everybody. My name is Tony. I am a 41 year old retired wounded vet. I lost my left leg in Iraq in 2005. Over the last 13 or so years I have had a tremendous and horrible time trying to get a prosthetic fit properly. I finally did a procedure called Osseo Integration. That being done the overall outlook still didn't look to bright for me to get walking. However, in April I found some motivation and this app. I began my journey at 5'9" and 244 pounds. Way bigger than I need to be. Using this app has helped me with my weight loss. I am now 208 pounds and 33 pounds away from my goal. I have been walking everyday since April and I put in 4000 steps or more. Now it is more often more than 4000. I have rejoined my gym and track everything I do in this app. This app has really changed my life. I am up to working out about an hour and fourty min a day six days a week. It's awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tony,
First and foremost, Thank you for your bravery and service to our country! Losing weight is not easy, especially with your circumstances. I am inspired by your journey and encourage you to keep going. I needed to read this as I have been struggling myself these past few months. I also work out doing cardio and lifting 6 days a week as well and losing has been difficult due to A-fib and Hasimoto's Thyroiditis. I have lost 38 but have at least 55 more to go. Even if it takes me 3 more years to do it, I am going to do it!!! At 59 years old, I am more determined than ever. This App has worked for me too. Wishing you all the best!5 -
I am a 59yo Marine Vet. and retired LEO. Five years ago due to being a lazy "desk jocky" I had hit 315lbs.
Thanks to MFP I am now at 180, and have been as low as 165. Walking, and now running some, as well as Weight training. Due to MFP I am in the best shape I have been in since I left the Corps.
So keep at it man ....."That Which does not Kill us Makes us Stronger".
