Hey all, My name is Linda and today is my first day using fitness pal premium.... I'm 54 and struggling to get the weight off....I just finished 2 weeks of low carb which usually works great, and nothing.... So I'm going back to good ol' calorie counting that I know works🙂

I hope Premium has some features that will really help you!
I know that some people like low carb, but just plain calorie counting was what worked for me at age 59-60 (while hypothyroid, if that matters - I think it doesn't, since I'm medicated). (I'm now 65, maintaining.)
Are you in menopause now, or peri? (You don't have to answer in print!) Some women find that water weight can be weird, either while still having regular cycles or when starting toward menopause. I didn't lose until menopause, so I don't have personal experience with that, but it seems to be a common thing. The implication is that water fluctuations can mask fat loss on the scale, for a surprisingly u time. If still having cycles, it would be more informative to compare weight at the same relative point in at least two different cycles . . . and it could be a bit longer if somewhere in the in-between land of peri, unfortunately.
