Ideal Protein

So I have been hearing alot about the "Ideal Protein" diet.... has anyone tried it? If so, please help me understand the ins and outs to it. I see how the food part pretty much works..... But what is the numbers you are suppose to be watching? Like no more than 20 carbs daily, what else? Im just trying to understand it and see its something I may be interested in.

Breakfast - Egg whites and a shake
Snack - Veggies
Lunch - 2cups of vegetables, 1/2 of protein, and protein bar
Snack - Veggies
Dinner - 1/2 of other protein and 2 cups of vegetables
Snack - Shake
