HELLO EVERYONE! NEW MEMBER HERE

Hi everyone :# . My name is Andrea and I'm beginning my health and wellness journey today. I'm very excited and grateful to have found this community/platform to openly discuss and motivate each other! A little about me, I have been struggling with insulin resistance, T2D, and PCOS for a long time. Weight management has been difficult as my weight yo-yo's up and down. My reason for getting healthy is to feel better and live a more sustainable lifestyle. I welcome anybody who would like to join and be friends. Stay healthy and safe-XO <3

    Hi, Andrea, and welcome!

It sounds like you have several challenges, but I'm confident you can overcome them: Some reasons to succeed, plus patience and persistence, can be pretty magical. I'm in a different spot (my challenges were more about age, self-indulgent tendencies, persistent high cholesterol/blood pressure, among other things), but MFP helped me a great deal. I've seen others succeed with PCOS, IR, T2D, and sometimes even put those conditions in remission.

I'm not super-high-participating/helpful in the MFP friend area, sadly (more of a Community forum gal, I guess), but I wanted to wish you much success here!
  • Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm utilizing all the tools available to me to help control my chronic health conditions. In return I hope to maybe help others along my journey. I understand nutrition and exercise play I large role. I will continue to be diligent and patient. Much success to you as well <3 .

I'm 38 (soon to be 39 next month) mom of 1 daughter. We live in SC and I've been on mfp what seems forever. I love to find friends that actually log in, comment on posts or post what they have going on in their own lives. I have PCOS & diet/exercise controlled type 2 diabetes so logging and tracking are a big part of my world. I also write a blog every 2 weeks or so with recipe swaps, food finds, etc.

I do a lot of walking when I can and often try to get to Zumba a couple times a week. I have a YMCA membership but don't use the gym as often as I should.... shame on me. My husband and daughter are my whole world except when I'm reading a good novel, then I fall into that world and need them all to leave me alone. LOL.

    Sending a friend request.
