15 years ago I reached my goal of losing 120lbs and swore that I would stay healthy from then on. I managed to keep the healthy lifestyle for 7 years until a major accident left me bedridden for 3 months. Over time and other unrelated health issues, here I am back trying to get healthy again.

Last time I stuck with a well balanced, portion controlled, healty diet. No fads, fasting or restrictions. My plan was, well portioned meals through the day to keep up the metabolism. Good carbs and fats. Adjust meals to allow for eating out as I was heavily involved in volunteer work. Overall the formula with a stable metabolism: (CaloriesBurned - CaloriesConsumed)/3500 = lbs Lost.

So here I am back at it. A new wife as of 3 weeks ago. This time a big difference though, with a wife doing this with me and supporting me. We both want to be healthy to go out and enjoy life together so here I am.

Hopefully we all can support each other through the process and I am looking forward to getting to know pople also going through this on this site, both to encourage as well as prop me up too! Looking forward to this new journey.
