3 meals or 6?

Wondering which is a better choice? Usually I eat 3 meals a day with a snack before bed. But today I ate small meals through out the day and I fill fuller.

The better one is the one you prefer. Meal timing is irrelevant to weight loss.0

I do 3 a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner. I don't eat past 7pm if I am able to.
3 meals a day seems best for me!, helps me stay on target with my daily calorie allowance.0 -

Meal frequency doesn't have an appreciable effect on metabolism. The whole idea that you need to eat frequently to "boost your metabolism" has been well refuted.

I guess it all boils down to personal preference. I do know that today when I did eat every 2-3 hrs, I felt better and I didn't over eat, at lunch or dinner. It kept me full. Maybe I'll try that for a week or so and see. Thanks for the info0

Depends on whatever you like. I like having bigger meals so that I will feel full. I also have classes, so my schedule doesn't allow for me to have 5 or 6 meals a day. I've tried 5 or 6 meals a day and just didn't feel full because of how small the meals were, I was also always washing dishes:grumble: . I like having a small breakfast, a morning snack, a good size lunch, and then a nice dinner (and maybe dessert). Just fit it into your daily allowance.0

That is why I like logging what I eat... so at the end of the day I don't ask myself..."did I eat 3 meals or 6 today" haha
seriously though, as long as you keep to your calorie goal it doesn't really matter. I myself don't have time to stop to eat 6 times a day.0
