Do any of you take probiotics? I recently had an issue (severe) after taking some antibiotics. I was afraid I was getting C-Diff (have had it 2x in past). I had to stop taking the antibiotics and started on the probiotics. I went to Whole Foods and got them in the cooler section. They were very expensive and seem to have been helping. Just curious if you take them and which ones your recommend. I am currently taking Garden of Life ones. The Dr. who treated me mentioned that the best ones need to be kept cold and the ones that you buy off the shelf are worthless. The ones I bought were $50 for a 30 day supply! Pricey but if they keep me from getting C-Diff worth every penny.

I've done many bouts of antibiotics and got c diff once. That's when I loaded up on saccharomyces boulardii, digestive advantage (bacillus coagulans) and culterelle (lactobacillus rhamnosus gg). No problems since.1

I take Orthobiotics, recommended to me by my dietician. I have ongoing gut issues, and I think these help. I also eat plain Greek yogurt regularly, and drink a little bit of Kombucha almost daily.0

I used to believe probiotics had to be kept cold but along the way something, I don't recall what, changed my mind. I used to get yeast infections frequently, which stopped once I started taking probiotics, both cold and room temperature.
I take this:
Jarrow Formulas Saccharomyces Boulardii + MOS - 5 Billion Organisms Per Serving - 90 Delayed Release Veggie Caps - Probiotic + Prebiotic
(I have to avoid probiotics with lactobacilli, which limits my options.)1
