Losing very slowly

I started the Mediterranean diet on August 11. It's the 23rd and I've lost 6 pounds. It seems slow.

I think you have an error in your dates. Do you mean July 11th through July 23 or-?2

Today is August 16th. But no matter. If you started July 11 and have lost 6 lbs in a bit over a month you’re doing great. Don’t mess with a plan that is working.
Beware your brain. It will wreck you if you let it. There’s nothing to be gained from speed dieting. People are usually in a hurry because they are suffering through it. And they want to end the suffering ASAP. Weight loss has two parts, eating in a calorie deficit and living with it.
Instead of looking at how fast you are losing, try looking at how you are living. Can you see yourself living like you are now long term? Weight loss requires a lot of persistence. If you’ve lost 6 lbs and you’re satisfied with how you are eating, that’s as good as it gets. Change nothing.5 -
Darla, how long did it take you to put on six pounds?
It didn’t come on overnight. Expecting it to come off overnight is impractical. I totally understand how anxious you are to be shed of it, but that’s an absolutely fantastic rate of loss for five weeks. You should be satisfied, and very proud.
Keep at it. At my age-and perhaps yours?-the months fly by and if you’re persistent with logging, weighing, starting an exercise program, you’ll be at goal before you know it.2 -
You've lost 6lb in less than a fortnight. That isn't slow at all. You need to reconsider your expectations.
