This 1200 calorie thing....

Alright. It's 10:18 pm and I've eaten under 1200 calories. I mean, it's one day and I'm not hungry. Is this really that big a deal? I worked late. That's why I'm typing now. It just seems like it may be a little silly to continue find tuff the eat this late just so I can hit 1200. I'm not even hungry. What are your thoughts?

Oh, and I generally do eat enough. I just didn't notice I picked low calorie meals and snacks today.

I'm no expert but 1,200 calories seems pretty low. It may be sustainable for a while but you may be in for a big crash later. Be warned, be careful

No worries. I have days like that too. :)
  • My nutritionist has me on a 1200 calories a day target but I move up or down from that by 200. My cap is 1400. As I get closer to my target I will slowly up my calories by increments of 100 until I get to my maintain level. In my case I am on a low carb diet, generally around 160 carbs a day as I am pre-diabetic and so far this approach has worked very well for me. My doctor's visit last week was an enjoyable session actually..

They seem to pertain to those that do this on a regular basis. It's one day. I think it's best to just go to bed like I normally would and make sure I eat enough tomorrow.
