Help.
I have searched I-tunes and I am having trouble finding new songs to run by.
Genre doesn't matter. -(o.k. no country, no rap without a tune)
But I find I like three things in my workout music:
1) it must be encouraging (I need the encouragement)
2) it must be fast. (I run)
3) It must not be explicitly vulgar, violent, or sexual. (I have kids who use my ipod)
I have found that many Christian rock/ hip-hop/ techno groups meet these criteria. But you have to go off the beaten path to find them. For example Steven Curtis Chapman is going to be way too slow. (And too overtly religious for my working out. It could be good for a meditative walk, but that's not what I'm looking for.)
I'm open to non-Christian secular music. As long as it meets these criteria. Just don't know where to begin.
Below are some songs from my cardio playlist, listed by group:
Fireflight -escape, unbreakable, now, what i've overcome
Rhema soul- off the edge, break out, not forgotten, stop the world from spinning
Je'kob- don't let go
Mandisa- good morning, stronger (remix)
Rel Paul -Crescendo of the Heart
Superchick - It's on, One more (this song should be in a shoe commercial)
Love like gravity- stronger
Thousand foot crutch -war of change (Andy Hunter remix)
Skillet- Awake and alive, not gonna die
Toby Mac- eye on it, unstoppable
KJ-52- brand new day (featuring my favorite line- "I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not where I used to be.")
Britt Nicole- welcome to the show, ready or Not, Amazing life
Andy Hunter- spiral, Glow
I like the songs here, but I need some new stuff.
So please, please share your encouraging music.
Thanks
