OK Guys here we go again!
Walk/jog/run/bike ...whatever gives you the steps/miles you desire. You choose your mode of exercise and the goal you wish too reach. Come as often as you can and log your progress so that we may all rejoice with you!

I'm in! While normally I would try and improve on my prior month, last month seemed almost too good to be true. So I'm going to see if I can repeat it.

Since I didn't make my goal last month, I'm going to try again and shoot for that SAME goal for Sept!

Hi everyone. I see some familiar faces! I’d like to join your challenge as these kinds of goals are so helpful to me. I’ll set two:
Run/walk: 75 miles
Bike: 400 miles
I have 2 weeks of vacation this month, but will be doing a half marathon during vacation and 2 days after we get back am signed up for a century ride. So training miles are cranking up and while a challenge, these goal miles are doable as long as I don’t become a slacker.3 -

Here we go! I logged 85 elliptical miles last month, despite it being my busiest month of the year. So I think I can easily do that again! (Especially since they just closed schools for all of next week to let covid numbers hopefully chill.)

Wondering how everyone finds the TIME for all their walking?
Also wondering if people are finding the walking helps them lose weight or maintain their weight?1 -
@dldrucker - I typically do 2 to 3 walks per day in the morning, lunchtime/afternoon, and more recently in the evening. Everyone has different routines, schedules and constraints, of course.
My morning walks during the week are usually between the times of getting things/kids prepped and work. During the weekends that is an early morning walk before the others are up and moving around. During the week I walk during lunchtime and eat while working. On weekends I very rarely get a walk in during that time. Recently I have started doing an evening/night walk as soon as the kids are down, this one being at a relaxed pace to unwind.
As for weight loss, I am a firm believer in CICO and nutrition for weight loss. So the calorie burns can help, but only so long as there is a calorie deficit and proper nutrition to prevent the body from craving crazy stuff to fill some shortage.1 -

Dldrucker—I have lost 18.8 lbs since the end of May, and while I do watch calories and focus on making every calorie count (more protein/fiber, fewer carbs/90%ish clean), I’d believe my commitment to the elliptical has made the biggest difference. My daughter is old enough to leave for a couple of hours while I go to the gym, and I also chose a gym close to her activities, so I often get ky miles in during rehearsals, when she meets friends, etc.
