Losing very slowly and that's okay

I've done fast weight loss before and ended up yo-yoing multiple times. Now, I'm going at my own pace, which averages out at half a pound per week. Today I hit -40 pounds and I'm not at all bothered that it took 80 weeks to get here. The time would have passed anyway and I've proven to myself that I can sustain this lifestyle. That is a major milestone for me; I've never managed long-term maintenance before.
Onward to the next -5 pounds!

Ah, another 'snail' like me 😁 (67 lbs in just over 2 years). Slow and steady wins the race and it's great for learning habits for maintenance.

The small steps are the big change.
I am currently on a 1.75 to 2 pound a week loss trajectory. But that’s because I got diagnosed with diabetes in February.
Prior to that I’d already taken so many small steps, like eliminating most candy, no more soda or sugar in my coffee, smaller portions at every meal, oatmeal for breakfast, etc, that the switch to warp speed wasn’t onerous.
Habit changes and small steps are actually huge.7 -

Another slow loser here - about 40lbs in the last year 😁
Life made me have ups and downs, the pandemic, job loss, social occasions involving alcohol, falling off the wagon but getting back on it again 🥳
I have around another 40 to go so maybe this time next year I'll be at goal 🤣5 -
Slow loser here too! Took me 2 years to lose 40 pounds. That said, 2020 kicked my butt in more ways than one and I am just pulling my socks up now to lose the 10 I regained 😩. Surely I can do that over the next 6 months or so.4
