Just wondering for this with nutrition/fitness knowledge…. Are bcaas worth it? When should someone use them?

You get BCAAs naturally from your food intake. If you lift and participate in a hypertrophic program, supplementing BCAAs may help your muscle growth. Like all supplements they have different benefits/drawbacks for different people. In most cases you will probably not notice a difference unless you do a great deal of weight training. That's not to say that taking the prescribed amount of BCAAs will do you any harm past the usual side effects (headache, nausea, diarrhea).

You are much better off using the money you would spend on BCAAs on a whey protein powder if you need more protein. There is no benefit from consuming BCAAs... Likely literally zero.

If your protein intake is adequate, they are a total waste.

Thanks all! I think I’ll skip them
