Drop weight by morning?

Genuine question!

I generally weigh myself right before bed, and again in the morning. And it seems that overnight, I can lose up to 2lbs. I realise this can be water and other factors such as waste, etc. But I rarely go to the bathroom in the morning, only afternoon.

Is your body burning THAT many calories that we actually burn a considerable amount of fat whilst we sleep? As that seems to be the only time I tend to see a loss. Even after weighing myself after I go to the loo during the day theres no difference until after a sleep!

Thanks everyone. :-)

Because you don't drink in your sleep and your body is still using those fluids and you still sweat and exhale moisture
