Hi
I'm struggling to motivate myself to lose weight. I start off well in the morning but when I get home just end up spoiling it all.
The last time I successfully lost weight I was logging my day with others who wanted to lose weight.
Is anyone part of any discussion boards like this that I can join please. I'm feeling pretty desperate for support, no one else in my house needs to lose weight so it's pretty hard.
Thank you in advance

Hi Andi
I myself have no support and I'm also trying to lose weight. So it looks like we're in the same boat.1 -
Just accepted your request. I'm from the UK, where are you from?
How do you feel about checking in with each other each day/night about how we have done with food?
I'm hoping to start some exercise but I know that they say 80% is the diet.
Let's do this!0 -
Another way to get support that some people here enjoy is to join a challenge group. There are many different types of challenges, and you can see posts about them in this area:
https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/categories/challenges
If you read the first post about a challenge, typically that will give you an idea about how it works, and you can decide whether it sounds fun/helpful to you, or not.
I'm not doing one of the current ones, as I'm hanging out here on MFP maintaining a healthy weight, having lost weight with MFP back in 2015-16 (after previous decades of obesity!). The challenges can provide some structure, as well as encouragement - can be very useful during the loss phase!1 -
You can search groups if you have an area of interest, too. I belong to type 2 diabetes, and low carb. There is a search function.0

Yes, my motivation is extremely low right now! I have lost almost 60 lbs in the last + year and trying to maintain, lose 5 more, but have been gaining recently!! Hurt my knee yesterday and the frigid is calling my name. Supporters are needed also because my wife keeps saying I lost to much weight.0
