Question about tracking workout routines

Hi all,

My friend and I were debating on how to track the workout routines on this app. If I am trying to track bicep curls, for example, and I am using two 10 pound weights - am i tracking 20 pounds for the weight? Or am I tracking 10?

Hope this makes sense!

Whatever allows you to not be confused when you access past record in order to do the next workout.
This is logging purely for tracking.

Usually dumbbells or similar are done as individual weight, and the entry is specific for that fact it could be done individually, even if not done so - like dumbbell bench press, compared to say dumbbell bent-over row.
Both would be logged as dumbbell 20 lbs say.

okay that makes sense. Yeah I just wanted to make sure that we were logging it right because it's counting how many calories we are burning and I didn't know if it affected that at all.

Logging individual strength training exercises doesn't give you calories, it's just for tracking your progress and routine.

For calories, you need to log the duration of your strength training under Cardiovascular > strength training (weight lifting, weight training)

I would use the Notes box on the exercise page to note whether dumbbell weights were per hand or total.
