    Weight lost: 86kg to 80 kg (January-August 2012); 85 kg to 69 kg (October 2014 - March 2016); 88kg to present weight (May 2020 - now)
    maintained (i.e. was below 77.5 kg, and mostly below 75 kg) from February 2015-July 2017; was then put on a medication and gained 2 kg in a month; went on sabbatical (away from scales; lots of conference meals); hit (peri-)menopause and lost track of things except to note that I was steadily gaining and back to 85/86 kg.
    Lost to 81 kg at Easter 2020 (top of normal bmi for me), but then gained back to 88 kg in April/May (Easter egg binge; lock down closed the pool...).

    Reflection: My average over the week is down but my weight was up again this morning. This past week has been quite stressful. I've eaten more bread this week than I normally would. Although I'm still working out, I haven't yet got back into swimming, and because I was travelling/working from home I've also not been doing much walking. What I need to do is start logging fod again, but I'll be away next week (seeing family for the first time since January 2020); I'll be working on a better routine thereafter. Maintenance is a challenge I definnitely don't yet have my head round.

    Successes/struggles of the week: A bit of a jump up this week, but that was mainly TOM as well as eating out a couple of times during the week. I've got a long walk planned today (about 2.5 hours), so I'll be getting a ton of steps in.

    How long in maintenance: Since April 2016 - but gained 10 kg March-May 2020 after massive trauma combined with COVID-19.
    Maintenance weight range: 65-75 kg (not sure what’s the right answer - been up and down in there numerous times in my life, apart from going way over 2010-2015).
    I’d like to lose a bit to get back to 70 kg, but I’m still happy at around 75 kg.

    I’m experimenting with seeing how my satiety levels are in relation to the types of foods I eat. Trying to eat more whole foods, which I’ve been getting pretty good at, and less sugar, and it’s going quite well.
    Weekly averages checking day for me is Sunday.

    Success/Struggle: Since I have had stressful, out of the ordinary, weeks for the last 5 weeks, I think I should call it ordinary. This week was a wind storm which knocked our electricity out for a day. It just messes with me. I eat differently, don't track food as I should, don't exercise like I want. I've got to make sure I stay with good habits even if my life is not calm. I know that is obvious but hard to remember when in the middle.

    Successes/struggles of the week: My average weight for this week was 111.7, which is the lowest I've been since around May, after which I started gaining quite a bit of water weight due to summer temperatures as well as a new medication that makes me retain a bit of water weight. Still not down to the middle of my range where I prefer to be, but definitely progress in the right direction. Of course, it's only a few weeks until holiday season starts though...
