I'm Stuck

I've lost 13-14 pounds in a constant motion over the summer until two weeks ago, I stalled for a week and went up a pound. So I figured maybe I needed to have a cheat meal because I overestimate my calories a lot and figure I'm under-eating . The next day I'm about 5 pounds heavier. After a week of waiting and sticking to my diet, I'm now 6 pounds heavier, what should I do?

You're likely retaining some water from the cheat day. Relax. Drink plenty of fluids to help flush out the excess. And wait it out.

Nothing if you're actually sticking with a healthy diet and counting calories. It's normal for weight to fluctuate even more than 6 lbs, this can be caused by water gain alone if you've been been eating foods high in sodium.

Limiting salt intake and drinking lots of water actually reduces your water retention.

I had a complete weight loss stop a couple weeks ago and what appeared to be a weight increase, just kept doing what I was doing and it suddenly started dropping again (10 lbs off very quickly).

Try not to overestimate calories, it's OK to go over the amount of calories MFP says if everything is healthy and this is a lifestyle change.

I highly recommend breaking meals into Breakfast - Snack - Lunch - Snack - Dinner - Snack to keep your metabolism in overdrive. Metabolism can burn far more calories than a workout, just keep your body processing stuff. High fiber foods are real winners for this. Not eating a meal = metabolism sabotage.
