when is it safe to weigh yourself?

Hi,
I had lost 70 pounds the healthy way over two years four years ago but I gained 40 back in two years because of a very emotionally draining job... I found a new job so I have not more excuses and here I am!
My issue is that I really want to weigh myself but I know that if the number is the same or higher, it will make me feel so depressed and possibly discouraged that I might eat... I have been so good so far and want to keep being good so:
How long should I wait before I weigh myself?
Thank you for reading and for your potential reply

Get it over with early in the morning, after you pee and before you eat. Numbers are scary but at least you know what you are really upagainst. If you give in to emotionally eating afterwards don't kick yourself, just remember it only means longer at the gym.0

Do it ASAP. Write the number down and remind yourself how exciting it will be to revisit it next week after you have dropped your last 2 pounds! For me numbers are simply a way to measure my success~ If you think of it that way it makes it easier. Good luck!0

I didn't weigh myself for the first couple weeks.... once I started to feel good/notice a change is when I weighed myself. No matter what, that number can change my mood for the day, so I try to only weigh once per week, because that daily fluctuation is normal and maintaining long-term control is easier for me if I'm not distracted by a number.0

Try to only weigh yourself once a week. I was weighing myself every day and I would get so dicouraged when there was very little or no change. Our bodies naturally fluxuate from day to day (especially in women) so we are not doing ourselves any favors by weighing that frequently. My reccomendation to you would be to pick a set weigh in date and time each week and to wear the same outfit (or nothing at all :blushing: ) when weighing in.
Just my two cents. Good Luck0
