Nervous: moving today
Super nervous! I'm moving today, and there's so much that can go wrong. Most of my belongings and all furniture are in storage belonging to a moving company in another country. And this will be picked up right now. I hope. I'm worried that the company I hired is using a too small van, or that something else goes wrong. Then they have to drive 400km to my current country, and looking outside, they don't seem to have organized street parking. So even if they estimated the amount correctly and brought the right van I hope they can unload everything. Sigh. Btw, I chose them because many people doing international moves recommended them to me. So all will be fine, all will be fine

I know this is hard to do but worry when something really happens--don't fantasize and imagine. Think how happy you'll be to see your things again. The moving company will have insurance.1

Oh yes, they have. They've picked up everything and are on the way here. They should arrive in 3.5hrs. At least I've tidied up my flat and can now wait for the arrival of the furniture. Will be so good to sleep in my own bed again after 2 months without! And have my own kitchen stuff, without sharing!

Moving is always stressful .
But if you hired a good moving company then they know what they're doing .0 -
Sounds like everything is going well so far. I would take important personal papers/records myself and turn the rest over to the moving company. I hope you enjoy your new home!0

Sounds like stress is overwhelming your mind about everything right now. Take a deep breath, tell yourself it'll all work out and ask yourself 'what's the worst that could happen'. Ok, maybe strike that last thought. Wishing you much luck with your move and new home!! Think of it all as an adventure!!1

All went well! But I think I have to move again Not sure what the problem is, but I can smell when my lower neighbour is in. As in: he's smoking like crazy and I notice that. And the attic is being used as a ... not sure if it's a party attic or a rough sleeper is sleeping there. There are hundreds of cigarettes there, and whoever uses this space leaves the window open, which effectively also cools down my flat. This is not liveable. Damn! This seemed like such a nice place. And mind you, it's not even cheap!6

It’s good to know that your move went well, I know how hectic a moving process can be from my own personnel experience. And really sorry to hear about your apartment, Haven’t tried to complain to someone? From what I heard from you, they are charging a lot of rent from you for that poorly maintained neighborhood. So I think you should complain to someone or move to another place, and go through the same moving process again. I think it’s better not to unpack now, Because if you want to move again it will be a lot easy for the moving company to move your stuff if it is still in those boxes.0
