Hey everyone! <3
I'm Angie and I'm from North Carolina. I'm 43 years old and have been on this weight loss journey for over half my life. I'm now needing knee replacement surgery and doctors won't operate until my BMI is 40 or below. I've got about 85 lbs to lose to get there! I'd like to have friends whom I can share successes and failures with. I'm not perfect and I know I'm gonna make mistakes. But I really, really want this to be the last time I'm losing weight.

    Hi, Angie, and welcome to the MFP Community!

    We share that "make this the last round" goal, but we're at slightly different points on the path. I've got somewhat the same scary knee thing you do (though I'm still deferring surgery as long as I can), and I'm now in year 5+ of maintenance after losing from obese to a healthy weight almost 6 years back.

    I'm kind of a sub-par MFP friend (more of a Community forum gal, I guess), but I wanted to stop by and comment on your post, wish you a smooth and successful path: I believe you can do this!
