Welcome! I'm 61 and maintaining now after losing a lot of weight over two years. I have a few recommendations based on my efforts and what others have said here:

Slow weight loss. I think many users here recommend about 1 pound a week. You might have to adjust your calories up or down as you lose weight or become more active/muscular. I personally do not eat back any calories I burn through activity as I'm just not active enough. I think those who can do this are seriously active.

Log your foods even on days you eat more than you intended. In time you can learn from it and become less rigid about logging. (I'm not there yet.)

What worked for me this time in keeping at it to goal was finding my motivation. (Fear of a bad outcome if I got COVID as my weight contributes to my rather significant risk factors.)

Remember that sometimes you will stall and won't understand why. Just keep working at it. (Sometimes you will drop more than you anticipated.)

    Best, Boo
