Good Morning MFP Family.
I'm Bree (my nickname), I'm from NZ, and this is not my first wellness rodeo.
Many years ago I met with a dietician and successfully lost weight using her advice (Calorie management with sensible choices and appropriate exercise). I've never completely strayed away from her teachings, but in the years since then, lifestyle and habits have changed and poor habits have crept in.
For quite some time I have been needing to dial back on the excess and avoid falling into that trap of saying to myself "I'm too busy/tired this week - I'll spend time on ME next week".
So here I am, this week, re-initiating my wellness journey!
My short term goal is to make better choices - Eating, exercise, etc.
My medium term goal is to lose weight - I have set my first target at 30Kg to lose and will review after that.
My long term goal is to live a healthier life - And enjoy all the benefits that brings.
I did my first MFP weigh log-in a couple of days ago and have been having a great deal of fun (yes fun LOL) entering all my foods and meals into the system and learning my way around. I'm definitely loving the ability to enter my own custom foods/meals/recipes/exercise.
I've had a meaningful conversation with my family about my aims and goals and I love them all dearly because they're all on board and supportive We all have very different nutrition needs and some of our mealtime practices will need adjustment to accommodate, so this will take a bit of work for everyone, not just me.
Am looking forward to sharing my journey with everyone from time to time and, when I can, offering encouragement to others.

I’m Tim also from NZ. If you’re keen to be friends on here and help motivate each other. I also lost a bit of weight a few years ago but unfortunately put it all back on again so starting right back at the beginning again lol1 -
