Hi all, I’m a 26yo female who was just diagnosed with liver disease. I have a history of heavy alcoholism but quit completely November 2019. I’ve been very sedentary during the pandemic due to losing my job last year and other health issues. I don’t drink soda, I generally avoid red meat, added sugars, and deep fried foods, and I’m lactose intolerant so I stopped eating/drinking dairy products about 5 years ago (occasionally I will pop a Lactaid so I can enjoy birthday cake or yogurt 😇); I do eat fast food- grilled chicken sandwiches and fries- 1 or 2 times a week out of convenience.
With this new diagnosis I’m committed to making some big dietary changes. I’m seeing my doctor this week and asking for a referral to a nutritionist, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest any foods, fruits & veggies especially, that are recommended for treating liver disease. Thank you in advance!! ♡
