Rowing

I just started rowing using the machine at my gym and I've noticed I'm rather tight today between my shoulder blades and across the top of my shoulders (are those the traps?) Is this normal upon beginning rowing or is it likely due to my form not being correct?

rowing works your upper back, so that would be normal.0

yep, I do it out on open water.
