calorie difference among apps?

Hi! I'm new to the app and I have a question.

This app says I need to eat 1490 calories but a different app I downloaded said I needed 1700.
Another app said 2485Kcal which I don't think that's true. Also some people that I told about my journey said that 1490 seems too low but I'm not sure because I did lose 6 pounds in almost two weeks.

What should I do? I put in the same information. I do light exercise as I work at a theme park and all I do is stand or walk back ad forth.

The MyFitnessPal goal intends you to estimate purposeful exercise and add that on top.
e.g. for your goal it would mean 1490 + exercise calories.

But it would not intend you to be estimating on a daily basis "I do light exercise as I work at a theme park" - work and general lifestyle movement is rolled up into your activity setting. You will notice that the descriptions of the activity settings here make no mention of exercise.

Most other apps average out your predicted weekly exercise so that 1700 may well include your average exercise. That could well be making 1490 + exercise much closer to 1700 already including exercise.
Depending on which app you picked those descriptions should be describing both daily activity and exercise.

Hard to compare across the two different methods without knowing what apps you have used and what selections you have made from the various options and whether you actually made the right selections.

    What should you do?
Have a think about if you want a same every day calorie goal or a calorie goal that varies in line with your purposeful exercise then pick the tool that matches that choice and make sure you understand the methods and selections you are making.
