Half way there!!

I can't really remember when my weight started taking a turn upwards. I know in high school and university I was in a size 32 jeans but had a muffin top to go with it. And then it seemed like I was in a size 14 forever. Sometime around the time where all my jean sizes seemed to go from inches to jean sizes. I tried to lose weight a few times along the way. I tried doing tae bo, eating less at one point I even started trying laxatives!! But nothing seemed to really give me any results and my will power was so low and my frustration level so high that I couldn't really stick with anything for very long. But, through the failed processes I did figure out the reasons why I failed each and every one of them.
Then I decided to be the really pretty fat girl instead!! Much easier then trying to lose the weight!! And, that worked for awhile too. I didn't have to exercise, I could eat anything I wanted and I was happy....right up until the moment that I wasn't happy. It got to a point where it just didn't feel right anymore. I would sit down with my supper and it would be a big plate of fries and ketchup and just lots of bad food and when I would finish I would feel so full that I might throw up if I burped!! And I got up from almost every meal like that. And I didn't eat when I was hungry anymore. I would eat when I wasn' full-and that's different. Eating when your hungry and eating cause your not full-not the same thing. When you sit down with the whole McCains cream pie instead of sitting down with a piece-that's a problem. I didn't have energy anymore. I went through most of my days feeling like I was walking in quick sand. And the scary part is that I didn't even realize how bad it had gotten!! It just happened so slowly that before I knew it I was really big (270 lbs) and I was tired and eating too much food and I would get up from a meal and sometimes my chest would hurt and my stomach would always hurt after eating and I would usually have to go to the bathroom really quickly and sometimes feel sick at night cause I was going to sleep with my belly full and not really lookin in mirrors much and not really paying attention that the towel doesn't wrap around me anymre or that I can't reach my toes very well to cut my toe nails and no way I can see to shave my hoo haa (total honesty here sorry!) and my jean size kept increasing and the inner thighs on my jeans would wear out and it was harder to get in some positions for sex and walking up stairs was hard and walking up the stairs with my daughter in my arms was super hard and I would leave everything I needed to take upstairs on the stars so I only had to walk up them once a day and I wasn't walking anywhere and I just didn't get it. I didn't even realize really what I was doing to myself at all.
And then I was doing something on the computer. It was a Sunday afternoon. Early April and there was an infomerical on for Hip Hop Abs. Now on sale for $20!! I have always been such a sucker for aninfomercial lol. So, right then and there, cause it was on sale lol, I called and ordered it.It came with a FREE coach at team beachbody and I thought now that it awesome!! and decided to really give it my all. I started writing in my TBB blog. I started with why I wanted to lose weight and how I was going to reward myself when I did and I figured out why th other times had failed and I spent a few nights on the TBB website in the online chat room. And there I found the man who is my Coach now. I got talking to him and he invited me to his facebook group and I accepted and I made him my Coach and I told him why I wanted to lose weight and he made me promise to stick with the program or I was out of the facebook group. The group is all about really doing it. Really eating clean and really working out and you have to do it. It's the promise that you make by joining. So I did it. Everyday I ate healthy and every day I did my workout and when I didn't want to do it I did it anyway. I set a time in my schedule and that was my workout time no if's and's or but's about it!! And I started to lose weight right away!! I did my 4 weeks of Hip Hop Abs and decided I wanted to do another program so I tried Slim in 6. And same thing I did it even when I didn't want to and even when I didn't like the particular workout (slim and limber 3 days a week!! I hated that sometimes). I did it because it was marked on my schedule. And some days I wanted to do it!! Some days I really enjoyed it and it was more of a challenge then Hip Hop Abs was and I felt accomplished for doing it.
Now I'm almost 16 weeks into this journey. I'm down to 221 lbs. That's 49 lbs in 16 weeks. I eat clean all the time. I do my workout everyday (now it's Chalean Extreme) and I'm loving every minute of it now!! I love my workouts I love when it makes my muscles burn I love seeing the scales go down I love beingable to go for walks with my kids I love being able to run with them I love being able to walk up the stairs in my house four or five or six times a day I love not feeling like I'm walking in quick sad. I love how the changes in my diet have changed how I feel and I love getting my enjoyment from life instead of from food and the couch.
I'm not done with my journey yet, really I never will be because I'm never going to let this feeling go away I want to eat right and exercise everyday!! And it was all just one simple impulse infomerical purchase.....
That was the end of July. Now, the end of August I'm down to 206 lbs. That's 64 lbs lost so far and still going strong!! I feel amazing!! and strong but mostly I feel informed!! I feel like I've finally found the secret to success lol and it was buried in the strangest of all places-in nutrition and exercise!!

You're doing amazing!! My advice is to not rely on motivation 100% because sometimes motivation tends to fail everyone at least once Make it a healthy habit and as time flies, you will see a new healthier you in the mirror! I can relate to the plate of fries and unhealthy food with the almost going to puke burps! I've been there and done that It's just not a happy habit to have! I'm genuinely happy that you decided to make a change!0

Very inspiring! Thanks so much for sharing. Sometimes its not some huge revelation... but more simple and basic fact smacks you in the face. You are just tired of being tired. Best of luck in your journey. :-)0
