I am very intrigued, but can’t seem to find a definite answer, if there is one, as to its true value. And not sure if it would be safe for someone suffering from Carpal tunnel syndrome in the past.
Has anyone used and found it beneficial? Is it worth adding to the routine or it’s just a gadget doomed to be gathering the dust after the initial fascination?

Blast from the past. Never owned one, but tried a "Dyna Bee" decades ago my cousin (training as a dentist, swearing by it, showing newly impressive forearms) handed me, and it was really difficult to keep up for long, even though I'd been training with cable machines for some time. That was a very well made heavy ball, quick web search suggests this is similar design but would want to confirm the quality and force it generates. I've done some dumbbell forearm workouts recently and not obvious the ball would be better.0

I have a powerball, I've had it for probably more than 10 years. I'll have to admit that it's more of a cool toy to me, but I haven't been very motivated to make a routine of it. I'm pretty sure my cats wouldn't like the noise, lol.
I don't have carpal tunnel, so no idea if it's safe, but you can make it as hard as you like: above the minimum momentum to keep the ball gyrating, any increase in speed increases the difficulty/effort required. As grip/forearm exercises go, I find it a lot more pleasant than those simple squeeze devices which don't allow any modulation of the difficulty and are far less amusing (but a lot quieter).0
