Hey guys, I just got a pretty bad sunburn on my face.... i look like a red raccoon!!! I'm already moisturizing, using aloe vera, taking advil, and drinking lots of water. What else should I be doing to make the sumburn fade? Thanks!

Cool compresses can help. Dip a rag in cold water, squeeze out the excess so that its not dripping, and lay the rag across your burn. It will help cool down your burn. Its not as effective as moisturizing or aloe vera, but it might help a little. Also, take care that you don't re-expose yourself to the sun. Your skin is really sensitive at this time. So slather on the sunscreen, even if its cloudy outside.0

Clarins makes a wonderful sunburn soother, I swear it by it - each time I've had to use it, the red is gone by the next day, even blistered areas the redness goes away and I'm just left with the peeling. You can get it Macy's Nordstrom or sephora...0

Wet tea bags...the tanic acid takes out the sting0

Fresh aloe works the best if you have access to it. Bottled is okay, but it honestly doesn't compare.0

I got pretty bad sunburn last week and had nothing to put on it so I raided my fridge.. cold sliced cucumber worked wonders for it!0

Stop any mosturizers, they seal in the heat. And like the post above said use cucumbers, they are natures healing / sun sucker outters, lol.. Hope u feel better soon......0

I've always had good luck with Noxema.0

If you know someone with an aloe plant, cut it open, get out the goo and put it on your face. For some reason the 100% aloe gel you buy at the store is just not the same.
Otherwise, milk is said to work well, and so is coconut oil (not sun tan oil, but coconut oil for cooking and eating).0 -
Tea bags! Soak them in cold water and apply them to your face, especially green tea. They will take some of the burn out. Aloe, of course. I had a nasty one last year that lasted almost a month. Make sure you're using sunscreen every day! I made that mistake recently and got a bad burn on my face. Just bought a huge bottle and applying every day before my runs.0

I got a bad one too last week, so bad it was blistering up a LOT.
Honey I've found works best for really severe sunburns when it's still fresh. After a while when it starts to dry out I moisturize with coconut oil.0
