I need help gaining weight

My name is David I was just released from a nursing home. I'm having problems maintaining my weight or gaining weight. I have a trachea in my neck. So I can drink milk or anything that has milk in it. I weigh 108Lbs. I want to be at 115Lbs. Does anyone have any ideas how?

Don't you have a medical team to help you?

The first thing I can think of is protein powder to 'bulk up' your milk.

Does it have to contain milk, or does it just have to be liquid? You might be able to do smoothies to get some fruit and vegetables in.

Adding some vegetables oils might be a good idea too, for extra calories and healthy fats.

I agree with Lietchi that your health care team should be able to help you. Can you ask for an appointment with a registered dietitian. That is the profession specifically trained to answer this type of question.

Maybe you can make a thin milkshake with peanut butter and cocoa powder. Additional sugar if you need it due to the cocoa. Maybe use yogurt instead of ice cream.

If you can have a soup, maybe puréed spiced carrots or parsnips with buttermilk to thin it out. Running it through a food mill should remove lumps.
