Pouches of belly fat that makes the stomach look uneven as weight drops?

I'm almost forty pounds down now and about one twenty to go, but I'm finding it weird that my fat burn seems to be pretty uneven. There's this one stubborn what appears to be pouch of fat in the center/left side of my belly that doesn't seem to wanna go down....it doesn't hurt or anything, but anytime my shirt is off and I look down at it, boy does it make me self conscious....
Anyone else experience something like this? How long does it take that pouch to go away...or should I consider having a GP look at it?

This explanation relates uneven squishy fat blobs to the stall/whoosh pattern you posted about the other week.

If it doesn't feel like the other fat, like if it's harder, or the underlying muscles on that side hold a different shape, maybe check with your doctor. I'm not hinting that it would necessarily be anything really major, so don't panic if you decide it's not just fat. If it's for sure fat, uneven loss is pretty normal.
Fat cells deplete from wherever they feel like depleting, in whatever order they feel like depleting, and it can be asymmetric.
It's probable that things will even out more as you get closer to goal weight, and there can be some redistribution even well into maintenance, especially if one is working out routinely. That said, I've been at a healthy weight, maintaining, for over 6 years, and my upper thighs - one of the places where I still hold some fat (female) - aren't exactly identical right and left. It's not a huge difference, probably not something others would notice, even when I'm wearing shorts or a bathing suit, but I know. (P.S. I don't care, though. It's just a random fact.)4 -
It could be a lipoma. A lipoma is a slow growing fatty mass that lies between the skin and the underlying muscle. They are soft and usually can be shifted about by your hand. Some people can have more than one at a time. My grandmother had one that her doctor discovered.2
